FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE AGENCY: A COLLABORATION THAT CREATES OPPORTUNITIES

For years, RBA Design has been collaborating with the University of Milan thanks to Professor Susanna Revoltella, lecturer of the Public and Business Communication (COM) course, curriculum: communication and marketing, who every year invites Carlo Aliverti, Managing Partner of the agency, to give a Visiting Lecture.

The talk aims to show students what it means to work in a branding and packaging design agency: from the design method to case studies, and how strategy, creativity and design translate into real projects.
Over the years, this collaboration has also become a meeting point between the university and RBA Design. Four former COM students, Filippo De Rai, Rebecca D'Ecclesiis, Piergiorgio Verga and Simone Aubry, are now part of the agency's team, confirming a relationship that keeps creating concrete opportunities.

“Every year I go back to the Statale to talk about what doing branding and packaging design in an agency means. The best part is engaging with curious students, seeing their enthusiasm and discovering that, sometimes, these very meetings lead to new collaborations and new career paths.”

This year the Visiting Lecture also had special meaning for Piergiorgio Verga, Account Executive at RBA Design and a former student of the course, who returned to the classroom to present the project Inclusive Packaging Design: Fondazione Bullone x Barilla, developed at the agency and the subject of his degree thesis. A step that shows well how dialogue between university and business can continue after graduation.

“I've been working at RBA Design for almost two years, and going back to university to present my thesis project was special. It shows that there is an ongoing dialogue between the Università Statale and RBA Design, one that grows stronger year after year through meeting new students.”
Piergiorgio Verga, Account Executive

The collaboration with the Università Statale di Milano keeps growing and reflects how RBA Design approaches its relationship with education. The same approach guides its partnerships with IED, NABA and Rome Business School, with the aim of encouraging dialogue between universities and business and helping tomorrow's professionals grow.
