BRINGING TO LIFE THE TRUE MEANING OF MODERN HERITAGE

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Since 1757, Cinzano has been bringing its flavour and approachable personality to the world, so that everyone can enjoy the authentic tones of every moment of life.
Everything we need to embrace this new era is already in the brand’s DNA. After more than two centuries of history and countless moments lived at the heart of the spirit of the times, Cinzano has developed a strong and distinctive visual imprint, containing all the elements that inspired RBA Design in restyling the Vermouth and Sparkling Wines categories, as well as the Mother Brand.

SPARKLING WINES

The new identity is based on the history of Cinzano, a great Italian story, bringing its origins back to light by recovering the label shapes, signs and texts of its first sparkling wines from the mid-19th century.
All these elements, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, create a unique, authentic, sustainable and distinctive style. The brand has evolved and been strengthened by introducing the original Cinzano family crest, represented by the lion, and the words CASA FONDATA NEL 1757 (House founded in 1757), an element of storytelling and heritage. The labels recall the authentic shape of old sparkling wine labels, are printed on white paper with a pearl effect, and different finishes add prestige and quality to the products. Finally, the capsules feature sophisticated, vibrant colours that help distinguish the products across the range while adding strong visual personality.

VERMOUTH CLASSICO

Vermouth Classico is the undisputed star of Cinzano’s packaging restyling. It celebrates the brand’s golden age, which is why its most distinctive asset has been brought back to the forefront: the diagonal.
Red and blue date back to the very earliest days of the Cinzano family: the original family heraldry featured two stars (representing the founding brothers) above a shield divided into blue and red.
Since 1952, these colours have marked Cinzano Vermouth’s packaging and its visual identity as a whole. This is the starting point from which RBA Design developed the restyling of the Cinzano Vermouth line.
The red and blue diagonal features on all three Vermouth products and plays a central role on the new bottle, which conveys the brand’s heritage through the secondary label at the bottom (awards and the Cinzano brothers’ signature) and through the date 1757 embossed directly on the glass of the bottle, designed and produced from scratch for this new packaging identity.

1757

In 1757 Turin was full of new and exciting fashions. One of them was a fine wine infused with herbs: its origins were ancient, but the enthusiasm was brand new.
Eventually it was called vermouth, but even before then everyone – royalty included – knew where to find it: at the Cinzano brothers’.
Centuries later its appeal is intact, and you can enjoy it with 1757 Vermouth di Torino.
It is a tribute to the year the house of Cinzano was founded, but above all it puts vermouth back where it belongs: on the shelves of the best bars, in the glasses of the finest cocktails and on the palates of the most demanding patrons.
The new bottle, designed by RBA Design, stands out for its extraordinary simplicity and balanced, confident shape. The label represents a recipe book printed on textured paper, dedicated to ingredients, flavour notes and tradition. The graphic language is elegant and understated, conveying the product’s high, premium quality.
